One of my favorite restaurants in Manhattan so far is Socarrat.  We've been here several times in the past three months, and at the end of each meal, we talk about which paella we'll try on our next visit.  The menu features traditional tapas and paellas from Spain, served in a warm and inviting, family-like atmosphere.  I've tried almost every tapas and paella offered, all very delicious and reminiscent of my trip to Spain - tapas bar hopping the night away... but the paellas are truly the star of this little restaurant.
The warm interior.

They don't take reservations, but the service is friendly, and the hostess tries to seat you as soon as possible.  The restaurant is small and cozy, so get friendly with your neighbors - you can ask them what they're favorite restaurants in the city are!  Please try it, I promise you won't regret it.

I love this restaurant! Not only was the tapas and sangria are delectable, the service is impeccable. So friendly! The wait staff bends over backwards for you. They even help you put your coat on and bundle up before hitting the New York evening breeze!
