Flea Market Finds - Mirrors

Back in November, I went to my first NYC flea market in Chelsea in search of mirrors.  There was a small open lot market I came across on the way to the actual one, and I'm so glad I stopped by because I found my large rectangular mirror there.  I ended up purchasing three that I really liked, and hauled them home.  I immediately went to my neighborhood hardware store for some semi-gloss black paint, and went to work.  I wanted my mirrors to be all different shapes and sizes, but still wanted a uniform look, and that could be achieved with a coat of them same color paint.

Our apartment is very dark, but I love how the mirrors reflect the natural light that comes in.  I purposely hung the large rectangular one over the brick wall to maximize the white wall being reflected to make it appear even brighter, and the two oval have not found a permanent home yet.  I would love to find a pair of matching mirrors to flank the rectangular one, and will most likely put the two finished oval ones together next to the arched windows once my window treatment is installed.  So excited!
