Their website description:
Shake Shack - "a modern day roadside burger serving the most delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, beer, wine, and more!"
In-N-Out Burger - "Give customers the freshest, highest quality foods you can buy, and provide them with friendly service in a sparkling clean atmosphere. Though times have changed, little has changed at In-N-Out. The menu- burgers, fries, and drinks - is still the same basic menu customers have enjoyed since 1948."
Fatburger - "In 1952, Lovie Yancey created something unique. A culture. A phenomenon, if you will. She created the biggest, juiciest hamburgers anyone had ever seen. So obviously, there was only one name for them - Fatburger."
For New Yorkers and visitors who've been to both In-N-Out and Shake Shack, compare the two. For Californians and others who've been to In-N-Out, Shake Shack and Fatburger, compare the three. Or if they've been to any combination of the three, compare whichever ones they've been to. On my recent trip to Southern California, I ate, on two different occasions, a Double Double with animal fries and a drink. Here's my take:
In-N-Out vs. Shake Shack - In-N-Out wins.
In-N-Out vs. Fatburger - In-N-Out wins.
Fatburger vs. Shake Shack - Shake Shack wins.
Shake Shake is great, a really close alternative to In-N-Out in New York, and Fatburger with a fried egg and cheese is awesome (kind of cheating...), but for around $5 for an entire meal, you can't beat a cheeseburger and fries at In-N-Out! When I take visitors to Shake Shack and ask for their opinion, it usually mirrors my own. There's literally three burgers on the menu - Double Double, Cheeseburger, and Hamburger - the lines are long, food is fresh, and customers are always satisfied with their meal, so In-N-Out is doing something right. What's your opinion?
In-N-Out 4 LIFE!
