Museum of Modern Art

I recently went to the Museum of Modern Art, and I have to say, I have mixed reviews.  It's an awesome space with great spatial qualities, but I don't "get" modern art.  The Building Collections and Interior Design exhibition was great - there were many iconic pieces on display from famous designers and architects, the Andy Warhol:  Motion Pictures was interesting, the Performance Series... baffling.  I wish I had my dslr with me that day.

Awesome chandelier made of china and flatware, unique furniture designs.

Interesting... art?

Performance Series

Basically, there is a hole in the middle of the grand piano on wheels, someone is playing the piano backwards (it sounded like random notes to me), and slowly walks from the wall to the middle of the open space, and the crowd slowly moved with her.

All in all, it was an interesting experience.  I would like to go back during the spring/ summer for the garden sculpture exhibition.  This is what it looked like when I went... traces of snow left.
