Just a short train ride away from Paris, Champagne is such a beautiful place to visit, especially if you like the sparkling bubbles! There are many tours and tastings available, some require advance reservations. There is a tourism office at the beginning of the Avenue de Champagne if you have any questions; they were very helpful.
Just outside the train station. Quaint little town.
Avenue de Champagne. Immaculate! I can tell the wineries spend a lot of money for the upkeep.
Perrier-Jouet. You probably recognize the name if you've seen the beautiful painted bottles, or of course if you tried it.
Inside the cave tour at Moet & Chandon/ Dom Perignon. It was pretty awesome.
Chandelier made of champagne flutes! Lobby of Moet & Chandon. Notice the Verner Panton S chairs? Pretty fabulous in gold :)
Roundabout in the middle of Avenue de Champagne.
Stool made of cork! A giant champagne cork :) And a little side table in the background. This was at a small winery called A. Bergere, family owned, excellent champagne, I highly recommend stopping by.
And that's a day trip from Paris!
This area is where the champagne came from (of course) that my friends shared with us last week. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteLoving your taste of Paris. I will certainly refer to your blog when we plan our trip (however many years away that is). :)
