Manhattan is freezing this time of the year, and although New Yorkers have been telling me it's unseasonably warm this year, this So Cal girl is not getting used to the cold! I've seen women/ men/ children walking around wearing down coats, but I refused to go out and buy one... I didn't want to look like a Michelin lady walking around town. That is, until the temperature came down to the 20s, and I saw my first "flurries." I searched high and low for some stylish alternatives to the traditional boxy down coats, and I must say, there are some great options!

They're cinched at the waist to give you some shape, pockets to warm your hands, all at least 3/4 length, simple but cute, and most importantly, any one of these will go well with your outfit! Hopefully it'll be warm enough for the long winter ahead of us!

I was holding back from buying one while I was in Korea, but no matter how many layers I wore, I couldn't handle the cold. I finally bought one while I was there. It was off-white, so it definitely made me look like the Michelin lady even with the cinched waist. hahaha... I hope you found the perfect one by now! It'll definitely keep you nice and warm!
