The Westin Europa & Regina - Venice, Italy

Venice, Italy was as magical as I imagined it would be.  It is such a beautiful city, with twists and turns of streets and alleys, up one bridge, down another - one can spend days exploring the history and culture Venice has to offer.  Another one of my favorite hotels is The Westin Europa & Regina, part of the Starwoods family of hotels.  We arrived late into the night, and had the most wonderful dinner recommended by the concierge.  The next morning, I opened the drapes, and what a pleasant surprise!  We had the most beautiful view of the Grand Canal!  There were people gliding by on gondolas, some singing, it was like a scene out of movie.

Just as grand as I imagined it would be...

Although the services are very modern, The Westin Europa & Regina maintained the traditional decor that pairs perfectly with the historically restored 17th - 19th century buildings.  The hotel is peaceful, picturesque, and close in proximity to the Piazza San Marco, and many points of interest.  I hope to go back one day...
