Oscar Fashion Favorites 2012

As always, so many beautiful people strolling the red carpet, and they didn't disappoint.  My favorite looks from this year's Academy Awards.

Lovely dress and color on Cameron Diaz.

My favorite look of the night, worn by Michelle Williams.

Emma Stone - I'm kind of loving the giant bow on the side.

I love this color Penelope Cruz is wearing.  

Tina Fey cleaned up very nicely, I always picture her as Liz Lemon.

Kristen Wiig, although I wish her nails weren't so dark, a little distracting.

Oscar Fashion Favorites

I love watching the Academy Awards, for the beautiful people working the red carpet, gorgeous gowns, dapper suits,  but not so much the actual awards.  I was excited that James Franco and Anne Hathaway were hosting, and I must say, Anne Hathaway did such a great job, and James Franco just seemed distant.

Here were some of my favorites off the Red Carpet:
Mila Kunis - wearing Elie Saab, such a beautiful, romantic dress.  Love the lavender color!  I think she looks gorgeous.

Mandy Moore - wearing Monique Lhuillier.  I love the dress!  The transparent neckline actually goes all the way up to her neck, I think she wore it beautifully.

Michelle Williams - in Chanel.  I love the color of her fully beaded dress, straight from the Chanel Spring 2011 runway, although with a modified silhouette.  Love love love her look.

Anne Hathaway - in Valentino.  Love the color on her, and loved all the gown changes during the duration of the show.  She always looks so elegant.

Gwyneth Paltrow - wearing Calvin Klein.  So sparkly, and so pretty.

Hailee Steinfield - in Marchesa.  I think this 14 year old girl looks absolutely adorable and age appropriate in this blush colored gown.  So many young girls go the opposite direction when dressing up for Hollywood, I'm glad she didn't.

Justin Timberlake - wearing Tom Ford.  Wow, this tailored tuxedo is stunning!  Although they're mostly black suits with varying collars and bow ties, tuxedos were not made equal. 

Cate Blanchett - in Givenchy Couture.  Love it or hate it, I love it.  I love the structure, the violet color with the yellow accents.  Her hair, makeup goes so well with the dress, I think she does the dress justice.

Jeremy Renner - wearing a shawl collar YSL tuxedo.  Looking very dapper.

Halle Berry - wearing a crystallized Marchesa gown.  She looks great as usual.

Scarlett Johansson - wearing Dolce & Gabana.  Love her hair,  makeup, and magenta colored lace dress.  I think she looks hot.  

Well... those were my favorites.  Any thoughts?  

Vanity Fair 2011 Hollywood Issue

Have you seen the March 2011 issue of Vanity Fair?  Three out of my top seven male celebrities grace the cover!  Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal, and James Franco.

I like Anne Hathaway as well.  The rest of the cover (pull out) features many of Hollywood's young actors as well.  The last Vanity Fair issue I purchased featured Robert Pattinson on the cover.  I think the photographers for the magazine does such a great job with the portraiture.

My only complaint:  Olivia Wilde's gown(?).  Everyone else is oozing glamour, and they dress her in a piece of cloth that partially covers her breast.  No?

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2011

We were walking down Mercer Street in Soho on Sunday, and suddenly - click click, there was a photographer snapping away at us while we walked away.  I later found out they were getting ready for the Y-3 collection showing, and today I found out that photographers are usually out and about around the runway shows taking pictures of "regular" people and their styles.  I just hope we don't land in some magazine's "don't" feature.

I can't think of any other celebrities off the top of my head... and can't wait for the latest photos to be featured in my favorite fashion magazines!
